As a trained teacher and a trained librarian, I am committed to the ideals of resource based learning as best practice in helping students become effective, independent users of information. I have been a classroom teacher and teacher-librarian in SA and Victoria and have taught art and a LOTE program in German. For several years I taught library studies at the University of Ballarat, I’ve owned and operated a small business as a human resources consultant and worked with people with intellectual and physical disabilities.

 I have a deep belief in lifelong learning and have pursued that at university level and through the university of life. To that end I completed my PhD in 2004. My interests are many and varied but include a passion for social justice and environmental issues.
