Gold Quiz:
Hello year 5 students, I hope you all enjoy completing the Gold quiz.
For some of the meanings of words in Section A of the quiz, you may need to go to the dictionary in World Book online as one or two words are not listed in the glossary on the first website. The rest of Sections A, B and C you should be able to complete using the first two websites below but for Section D you will need World Book online using the third website listed below.
Section D is the trickiest part of the quiz but I’m sure some of you who are really thinking about your thinking will manage at least a good part of it. When you search World Book online, make sure you are in the encyclopedia section. I suggest that you search for ‘gold’ and add exactly what it is you’re looking for, e.g. gold and el dorado. If you don’t use keywords like this, you will have more difficulty with Section D and you will have a lot of text to read.
Good luck and happy hunting for the treasures which will find you the answers to the quiz questions.
