Below is a list of some of Dr Jan’s published articles:

“Emerging, developing or advanced? How well is your RC skilling up the next generation?” Read this article in FYI dated 16/9/2005.

“Improving learning outcomes” in Synergy, Volume 05, number 02, 2007. In this article I share my research into the effects on student learning outcomes of the collaborative efforts of teachers and teacher-librarians. Four action research case studies are provided from year levels 1, 4 and 5. This research was made possible by the SLAV Rsearch Fellowship awarded to me in October 2006.

“Consult, collaborate, change. Introducing flexible scheduling” in Managing for Learning. Issues for Primary School Libraries, ed by Marianne Punshon, SLAV, 2006. This article outlines my approach to implementing flexible timetabling in primary school Resource Centres.

“Successful strategies for budgeting” in Managing for Learning. Issues for Primary School Libraries, ed by Marianne Punshon, SLAV, 2006. This article provides an fantastically useful budgeting formula which I have used with excellent results in several schools. It has enabled me to increase my RC budget from between 100 to 500%!!! You’d be crazy not to try bit.

Rubrics and information literacy in primary schools. This is a presentation I gave at a SLAV conference in Melbourne in 2005.

Horsham West VELS Program 5, 2008. This lesson planner is now available on CD for $25. I demonstrated this at the SLAV conference in Melbourne in March 2008. We have received permission to use the VELS data and this CD is now at the fifth edition stage. If you would like a copy please contact loeliger.jan.jr@edumail.vic.gov.au
